Hi! I’m David Morrell and I’m senior pastor here at Woodville Baptist Church (usually known simply as “Woody”). Sue and I came to Woody in November 2007, having served, over a period of 35 years, in a variety of exotic locations including Sheffield, Birmingham, South London and a market town in Northamptonshire! Cardiff is our first excursion west of the border! Sue is my brilliant partner in ministry, bringing a big heart for God and for people and many gifts that I don’t have!

Hi, I oversee the student & young adults ministry, the Gap Year Team program, and I make up part of the church’s leadership team. I have been ministering at Woodville for over 4 years, and I am married to Helen. In addition to the work we do at Woodville we have been involved with the young adults work of New Wine Wales. I am the regional contact for Fusion & Student Alpha. We have one son, and our lively dog, Muddy, completes the team!

We have a real heart for raising up leaders from our generation who long for a deeper relationship with Jesus: “Our vision is to see young people captivated by the beauty of Jesus and His ravished heart towards the church.
