On Thursday 24th May we’ll be taking part in a prayer event outside City Hall (by the Olympic Ring), starting at 7:14 and finishing at 20:12.

It’s part of a vision to see a wave of public prayer and worship gatherings sweep the UK, as the local Church hosts 7:14 events in the heart of their towns and cities, catalysed by the olympic torch.

70 days of consecutive events. Thousands on the streets.

No stage, no mics, no brands, no speaker. Just the people of God in one place at one time, with the healing of lands on their hearts

7:14pm – 20:12pm

ALL WEAR SOMETHING RED!

7:14 – SING How Great Thou Art

7:18 – ALL hands in the air / Say Lord’s Prayer / Pray for outpouring of God’s Spirit

7.20 – PRAY for City + Nation (All face outwards for last minute, Blessing the City)

7.30 – WORSHIP: Light of The World / My Jesus, My Saviour / In Christ Alone / Be Thou My Vision

7.50 – PRAY for the Queen + Her Government

7.55 – PRAY for the Olympics + London

20.00 – ALL KNEEL in silence for 5 minutes / ALL rise with a shout

20.05 – PRAY for The Church: Local and National

20:12 – SING Amazing Grace

Cell Olympics, Sleepover, and Xodus Guys and Girls day!

Exciting weekend for all you student and young adult types!!

Friday night sees the inauguration of the long awaited first annual Cell Olympic Spectacular, with the cell groups battling for supremacy over cell land! If you are not yet in a cell but would like to be, this is your chance to find out which is the best!

There will then be sleepover fun times, with potentially films/video games on the big screen, sardines, hot chocolate and other lovely/cool things.

Saturday afternoon, when we’ve all recovered, we will meet back at Woody for our Xodus guys and girls day. Meeting in separate sessions at 1pm we will have teaching, worship, ministry and social times in the afternoon, then all meet back together in the evening at 7pm for a joint time of worship and ministry.

Student and Youth Alpha!

Our student Alpha course officially began last Monday, though there are still many places if you are interested in joining us for Session 2: Why did Jesus die? Monday 20th February, 7:30pm

Youth Alpha begins at the same time this week, with the first session “Who is Jesus?”

Both courses promise a short talk and time to discuss the topic, ask questions, make friends and eat good free food!

On the first day of December, the start of advent, Christians from all over Cardiff joined together at 7:14pm to pray for our city, our nation and our world.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

World Record Attempt Carol Service!

Woody is taking part in an attempt to break the world record for the largest number of people singing carols together across multiple locations. Premier Radio have organised initiative this as part of Christmas Starts Here – see http://www.christmasstarts.com/
Do invite your friends and neighbours to join us singing 5 traditional Carols, along with at least 15,000 people across UK.
Time: 6.50pm until 7.20pm at Woody, Sunday 18th December
