Church Sport

Church isn't just about worship and the bible and similar stuff, but we believe also provides the opportunity for people to get together for a variety of purposes, including sport.

After a couple of years break the church's football team was reformed for the season 2004/5. Last season we joined the UCL League (a church league comprising nineteen churches from across South Wales, including churches in Cardiff and Swansea), playing 24 games, winning the leage and reaching the semi-final of the UCL Cup.

This season promises to be the busiest season yet as the team seek to defend their title and progress in the UCL Cup. The team has also entered the National Christian Cup.

In most years church has entered the Cardiff Inter-Churches Seven-a-side Cricket competion (in 2005 reaching the finals, to lose to Glenwood). We hope to arrange a small number of 11-a-side fixtures in the early summer of 2007.

Church members have also taken part in a local touch rugby tournament in some recent years, and a number of the congregation play squash.
