Whats on for Students at Woody......Sunday Mornings: Woody is a lively and outgoing congregation and students are a valued part of the church family here. Services are held at 9:30 and 11.15 every Sunday morning, and include worship, teaching, prayer and fellowship. We value the Bible and seek to apply it practically. Our worship is contemporary while still valuing tradition. The service includes communion once each month. Student
Cell Groups: We have a number of cell groups which meet on Thursday evenings
at 7.30pm during term time. These are the building blocks of the church, a place
to develop deeper relationships with God and each other. We are linked to BIG Thursdays: Replacing cells once a term, we all meet together at church and have people from the wider Woody congregation come and share their wisdom on practical issues such as money, relationships and stress management. Xodus: is usually on the first Sunday of each month at 7pm. Loosely aimed at youth/student age group, and with worship, teaching and ministry at its centre, we seek to create an environment where people can encounter God and be challenged. Often with interaction, always with relevant application, Xodus is not to be missed! The Lounge: Church meets Cafe on the third Sunday of every month, with drinks, cakes, live music and thought provoking conversation in a chilled out environment. Prayer ‘n’ Praise: self explanatory! usually takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month at 7pm. Alpha: This is a 10 week course where people can learn more about Christianity and ask any questions they may have, without pressure to respond, all over a nice cooked meal. It's free, informal and friendly; ask a student worker for more details. Drama Team: This is an exciting new project to create innovating dramas that reach out and inspire in a creative and fun way. There is something for everyone who's interested in performance, drama, directing, or scriptwriting. Led by an experienced team, we are looking to expand and see what God has in store!! Spotlight Prayer is our weekly prayer meeting, which happens at the ridiculous time of 6.30 on a Friday morning! We spend time praying for events within Woody and for the community around us. Team: The church football team plays
in the local church league, with matches most Saturdays during the Autumn and
Spring terms, and a training session during the week. Other Events… including student lunches, church weekends and more listen out for notices or grab a news sheet.
