Worship at WoodyThe Church meets for worship each Sunday at 9.30 a.m. and 11.15 a.m. where we will spend some time worshiping God through music, hear some relevant bible teaching and bring matters of concern to us to God in prayer. One Sunday evening each month there is a service called Xodus (aimed specifically for people aged between 18 and 30). On the fourth Sunday of each month there is usually a evening service of Praise and Prayer. Woody is a relatively lively church with an average age of approximately 25 to 30. There is a good mix of families, singles, young people and students. Our services consist of times of praise using modern songs from the likes of Vineyard and Matt Redman, as well as some of the best hymns from our Christian Heritage, and some songs written by our own members. Within these times of praise we seek to be open to the Holy Spirit's guidance, so although we make plans, we try to be flexible and respond to God's leading. As well as spending time in worship we also value the scriptures and seek to bring practical and life changing teaching into services, which is often followed by a chance to respond to the Lord, with prayer being available either during or after each service.
